In Iraq, 58 have been massacred inside a Catholic Church where they had been held hostage. According to CNN the Islamic State of Iraq claims responsibility for the attack and officials believe that al Qaeda is involved.
The believers were gathering for a Sunday evening service, when the gunmen entered through the doors. The church leaders tried to take as many to a safer location as possible, though they could not save everyone.
Open Doors will be on several radio stations talking about this issue. Here are a few:

Could you imagine if this happened at your church? You had gathered into the church for a Sunday evening worship service and gunmen broke through the door…you were able to be moved to safer location, though you were not sure if you were going to make it. Hours later after the whole ordeal, you discover that some of your friends and family did not make. I could not imagine the pain that our brothers and sisters are going through. They are in great need of our prayers. Will join me in praying for them?
This is horrible… Lets all pray…
reading this story make me feel sad, to the point where tears came. But I will continued to prayer and will asked my church to prayer. God is a deliver we don’t know how, or when but He will make a way somehow.
