Thank you for the comment. The three self church is allowed in China (though it is very restrictive). What other kinds of “Do’s” are you looking for?

We, my wife and I, have supported Voice of the Martyrs for a few years because we have a desire to aid persecuted Christians. We recently became aware of Open Doors and are surprised that neither organization mentions the other. Are you competitors for our support? We have both read ‘God’s smuggler’ and ‘Tortured for Christ’. There seems to be almost an uncountable number of groups supplying Bibles and Christian literature and we support a few of those but we are more interested in those who are persecuted for their beliefs.

I wonder that all the time… Would I be strong to withstand a Mob of people ready to kill me because I love and adore Jesus Christ and The Father. I know for certainty I would stand strong and be ready to put down my life in Jesus’ name. I know the being slaughtered as many do would be a horrible way to go and truthfully I would be scared. Not for death but for the pain that comes before death. But to the question yes I would be ready cause I know Jesus went through a worst death for me and all Christians and he was alone. But for us Jesus is with us so we are not alone. What a great gift the lord has given us. Plus think of the life we will have when he comes for us. That would be what I would keep in my mind as I was being persecuted. For in the end Evil will be called good and good will be called evil… I pray for Jesus to come soon so people will not have to suffer much longer from all these godless people.

Thank you for posting this.

Even though we are a minority in India…the church of Christ is advancing despite all opposition. Doors and avenues which were once close are opening, and its exciting to see this.

A lot of work has to be done while its still day.

Pray for believers so remain strong and faithful and united too.

I love to see discussions on what Heaven will be like. Personally, I look forward to sitting at Jesus’ knee and listening to Him tell story after story. I look forward to supping with Jesus and all the disciples and taking my time to get to know them. I look forward to a super-enhanced, bright, Son-shiny world where we can make friends with any animal, even all the formerly scary ones we were afraid of. I look forward to being with (besides my friends and family) all the folks I have read about in the bible and folks I have read about otherwise and never got to meet. I look forward to seeing my mother, no longer deaf and unable to understand much of what people say, now being in a perfect body (as I told her she would be, and she was elated at the news!). I love to think about being with Jesus forever and being secure in His Love. C’mon now, let’s hear from others. There must be many folks who have more to add to my small list. I can’t think of everything.

The post should have mentioned the petition campaign Open Doors is mounting against the Combating Defamation resolution. Click thru to the article to read and sign it.

While that resolution will not be binding, enforcible international law, ICERD is. The Ad Hoc Cmte. on Elaboration of Complementary Standards is writing a protocol to ICERD which will make all criticism of Islam punishable by international law. This evil action is not receiving much notice.

If you are willing to rise up against this real and proximate threat to our freedom of expression, urge your Congressional Representative to get H.Res 763 out of cmte. and onto the floor for an immediate vote. Then sign and support the International Qur’an Petition, which turns Islam’s own tactic against it.
