Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is set to visit to New York this week for the United Nations General Assembly. This has caused a great outcry from many humanitarian groups and human rights organizations. Ahmadinejad is noted by many to be one of the greatest violators of basic human rights in the world today. Though many [...]

In 2011, we hear of many human rights violations. Whether it is human trafficking or the oppression of women, we can note that there are many violations. And along with this list is another group that is often forgotten about- those who are persecuted for their faith. Tomorrow, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will [...]

I was reading a very good article in The Economist today- http://www.economist.com/node/21524851. The article examined post revolutionary Egypt. It is amazing to see how far the country has come, while still noting the ways in which Christians could face persecution. Have you written a letter of encouragement to a persecuted Christian? If not, you can- it only takes a few minutes and can [...]

Government curriculum in Sri Lanka requires that all children go through religious classes according to the faith that they are born into. However, many Christian children end up attending Buddhist or Hindu classes because no one is available to teach them about Jesus and the Bible. If they don’t attend these classes, they receive poor [...]

Freedom for the evangelical church in Algeria is very limited. A restrictive religion law introduced in 2006 prohibits efforts to convert Muslims and gives the government the right to regulate aspects of Christian practice. Please pray that Christians would still be able to witness to people like this woman, despite the restrictions that they have.
